With a fiancé who is in line to the throne, there must be a tremendous amount of duty. Duty to yourself, the monarchy and said fiancé. Upon her initiation to the Royal family, Kate Middleton is said to be seeking the advice of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
As someone who has previously married into the Royal family, Camilla has a lot in common with Kate. After her marriage to William, Kate will become Princess Kate, and Camilla will be her step-mother-in-law.
The pair were spotted at the Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, London. No doubt some invaluable advice was exchanged as the pair enjoyed lunch at the hotel’s new restaurant Koffman’s. Also in their company were Kate’s sister Pippa and Camilla’s daughter Laura Lopes.
A source who was also dining at the restaurant said: "All four women were talking away like mad and none of the waiters could get a word in edgeways to serve their lunch. "I heard Camilla saying...'If I can give you one bit of advice...' Kate was really enjoying the moment.” The source continued by saying that: "I did hear talk of trumpets and someone said "we can't have trumpets, the ceiling is too high', which may have been a reference to Westminster Abbey."
The restaurant is a favourite of Camilla’s particularly as her food-critic son, Tom Parker Bowles, is friends with the head chef at Koffman’s. The source added that: "It was high spirits all around. "There was one moment which was clearly meant to be amusing when Kate said 'what happens if William doesn't turn up?' Someone else then asked 'is it going to be a sit-down lunch?'"
For ladies who lunch there is much to be discussed, for these ladies it is a much more Royal affair.
