Kate Middleton’s slender figure may appear effortless but in the run up to her wedding she is keeping in shape at the late Princess of Wales regular gymnasium, the Harbour Club.
The Harbour Club, has two centres in West London – one in Notting Hill and the other in Chelsea. It has been revealed that Kate attends the Harbour Club’s Chelsea branch, regularly working out and making use of its stunning facilities which include three swimming pools, a pilates studio, spinning studio, club spa and hair salon. The club also holds its own restaurant and bar complete with a la carte menu. With a membership of £2,500 a year, it’s hardly a surprise that The Harbour Club boasts celebrity clientele such as the actress Leslie Ash, the pop singer Sinitta and the DJ Pete Tong.
A regular member at the Harbour Club revealed that: "Kate was in the gym last week exercising with a friend for more than an hour. She looked in great shape – incredibly fit and slim. After her workout, she stayed on and had dinner in the club's restaurant." The Harbour Club is fairly local to Kate’s Chelsea flat, which she occupies when visiting London alone, without her fiancé Prince William.
Princess Diana became a member at the Club in 1993 to attend regular sessions with a personal trainer. It was reported at the time that Diana’s sons Prince William and Harry would often accompany her. After the unfortunate Paris car crash that killed Diana in 1997, the Chelsea Harbour Club unveiled a sculpture in memory of the Princess.
Comparisons between Kate and Diana occur all too often, and this news of attending the same fitness centre will reinforce that connection - a princess in the making, or should that be running?
